She is considered even more successful than Simran (her professional rival in the industry) because the latter only remain at the top for 5 years, unlike Jyothika who has been in the lead for past 10 years.In a recent poll conducted by a popular magazine in Chennai, she has been named in top 5 all time tamil actresses. Jyothika was ranked 4th after Savitiri, Revathi and Saroja Devi.
